Weight Loss Motivation: If You Can Put It On, You Can Take It Off!
If you’re totally overweight, don’t fret because you can surely take off those unwanted pounds which you had put on over the years.
I had a friend who years ago was a skinny man who weighed less than 110 pounds (or 50 kg) while standing at 5 ft 11 in (or 180cm). In fact, he was so frail that his girlfriend actually wrote him a letter telling him how skinny he was and how he could be blown away like a bamboo stick by a gush of wind!
How mean that bitch was!
But unknowingly, her words cut through him like a sword and remembering the pain that those words caused him, he spent two years in the gym, working out 3 times a week, all by himself, just to put on those pounds that he so badly wanted.
And yes, he succeeded after that two years through commitment and sheer determination. He became tall, dark and handsome and had many female friends who adored him.
Hey, I know that many of you reading this want to shed those pounds instead of putting on weight but my friend’s story is not over yet.
After a few years, he ate carelessly and suddenly, he’s nearly 200 pounds (or 90 kg), almost twice his weight two decades ago!
He told me that he really wanted to avoid those deadly diseases caused by obesity such as:
- heart disease
- stroke
- high blood pressure
- diabetes
Being the determined character that he was, he quickly engaged in a weight loss program of sorts, eating smaller meals and balanced diet.
True enough, he quickly regained his physique by losing about 20 pounds (or 9 kg) after six months! He admits that he still has a long way to go to achieve his ideal weight but he has already set his weight loss goals into momentum and on his way. . .
From this man’s experience, it is clear that whatever we put on, we can take off. What we need is a motivation for achieving weight loss. So, my question to you is, ‘What’s your motivation to lose weight?’
- Do you want better health so you can enjoy your life?
