Walking or running for weight loss - which is better?
It’s probably counter-intuitive here - walking beats the heck out of running for weight loss!
Besides the scientific explanation that I shall explain in a moment, as someone who went about losing weight on two separate occasions in the last few years, I can vouch for walking…
*** FIRST OCCASION ***
Seven years ago, I woke up one day to realize that I put on around 20 kg after working mindlessly in running my business for a decade. Imagine the shock when the scale told me that I was 89 kg!
It took a few more scales to convince me that they were right and I was wrong.
That made me decide to run the marathon again. Immediately I put a running plan together and started on my journey. Half a year later, I wish I could say I did it with a straight face - yeah almost that is - but I had to call it quits after 25 km. Not too bad you would say, won’t you?
All in all, I lost about 5 kg after running for miles preparing for the marathon.
The importance of drinking water and weight loss is often underestimated.
