Are you willing to take liposuction risks?
Would you opt for this procedure due to the liposuction risks involved?
According to Wikipedia, liposuction is a cosmetic surgery operation that removes fat from many different sites on the human body. Liposuction is not a low-effort alternative to exercise and diet. It is a form of body contouring with significant attendant risks and is not a weight loss method. The amount of fat removed varies by doctor, method, and patient, but is typically less than 10 pounds (5 kg).
In fact, a few hours ago, I heard this on the radio while driving… that Singapore’s Ministry of Health is coming up with new regulations on liposuction, and it is now seeking feedback on its proposals.
In a nutshell, any clinic that offers liposuction on its premises must obtain prior approval from the ministry and meet specific licensing conditions. Plus, a doctor who wishes to practise liposuction must have undergone at least one year of surgical training following housemanship, and must have attended relevant liposuction-specific education and training.
